Position Overview

Interested in being an integral part of protecting lives and property? As a Fire Sprinkler Installation Technician at USAutomatic you will be a key contributor in helping prevent loss of life and property due to fire. The Fire Sprinkler Installation Technician will assist in the installation of various fire protection systems including sprinkler, fire alarm, and suppression.

General Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of underground piping and accessories
• Assist in wet system installation
• Assist in dry pipe system installation
• Assist in standpipe system installation
• Perform Plan reading and interpretation
• Care of tools, materials, and equipment
• Preparation of tools, material and equipment such as safely loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Pipe cutting, threading, reaming and welding
• Assist in fire pump and accessories installation
• Maintenance and repairs

Qualifications

• Education: Highschool diploma or an equivalent required
• Vocational/Tech School degree preferred (OR)
• At least 2+ years field experience in fire sprinkler or construction related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Strong desire for continued growth and learning
• Lift and carry 70lbs
• Ability to safely climb and work on ladders.
• Ability to work in varying work environments
